Adrienne Christiansen is associate professor and chair of Political Science at Macalester College. She taught courses in Political rhetoric in Macalester's Communication and Media Studies department for 14 years prior to joining the faculty in Political Science. In 2003, she spent six months in Cyprus while on sabbatical leave. There she traveled the breadth of the island while studying the role of political monuments and statuary in maintaining and challengin the political stalement between the island's Greek and Turkish populations. She has lectured publicly on Cypriot politics, monuments, religious history, and cuisine. She is currently at work on a book about Cyprus' political monuments. Professor Christiansen looks forward to joining you on our journey and shareing her enthusiasm for the island, its people and its customs.
