The first Asian Languages and Cultures Poetry Contest!

The Poetry Contest is open to students in all levels of Japanese and students in all levels of Chinese. Students will be judged within their own level. The entry form is here. Entries can be dropped in H108A, or e-mailed to scottc@macalester.edu.

Poems will be judged by Chinese teachers and tutors, and Japanese teachers and tutors. A total of 25 points can be awarded each poem, in categories such as content, creativity, and accuracy.

Everyone who enters receives a prize! First-, second- and third-place finishers will receive monetary awards. Entries are due March 31; winners will be announced at the Department Party in late April.
