Sears Eldredge, professor of theater and dance, is conducting extensive research on the theatrical activities in World War II POW prison camps for publication. A play he authored about the real-life relationship between a British soldier who was a prisoner of war and a Japanese soldier who was assigned as translator during torture sessions received its premiere at Macalester.
