Sonita Sarker, associate professor of English and chair of Women's, Gneder, and Sexuality Studies, offers courses in 20th century feminist utopias and feminist theory, among others. She has published "Trans-Status Subjects" (Duke UP, 2002) and is currently revising a collection "Sustainable Feminisms" (forthcoming, Elsevier 2007) as well as writing a monograph on women intellectuals and fascist/socialist philosophies that is a transnational study of Asian, Latin American, and European modernisms. She is the convener of the International Task Force at the National Women’s Studies Association.
