inning will start after the scheduled finish. Tie games will be the only

exception.

point. This role will be invoked after 3 innings of play.

second game will be banned from further play.

he/she is approaching.

11. Shaw Field Home Run Rule

Baseball Field Special Adaptations: In order to protect the game field,

1. Batting will be done off turf carpets.

2. Bases will be placed on turf carpets.

Respect Yourself

Each participant is responsible for his or her behavior. There is no justification for verbal or physical abuse of umpires, opponents or teammates. Those who cannot control themselves will be ejected. People who cannot abide by this code are asked not to participate. Captains are asked to encourage positive sporting behavior and will be held responsible for their team's understanding of the rules.

Softball season is short and often effected by the weather - schedule changes on short notice are something we must live with in order to complete the game schedule. Captains should regularly check the IM web page: www.macalester.edu/~athletic, the IM Bulletin Board and stay in touch with the IM Director Steph Schleuder x6467.
