Biology
Department Faculty
& Staff
The
department
faculty are, first and foremost, committed teachers who have won
awards for their teaching at the local, state and national level.
Because we understand that the science we teach is an on-going process
of discovery, we are also fully engaged in scientific research.
Each year we publish papers in the scientific literature, and travel
with our students to national and international scientific meetings
where students present the work they do with us at our field sites
and in our laboratories. Biology majors also receive one-on-one
advising about course work and research in the major, their broader
liberal arts education, and their career or educational choices
after graduation.
