Ruth Stricker Dayton Greenhouse

In 1997, a new greenhouse was installed as part of the renovation of the renovation of the Olin-Rice science building.  The three-room facility (450 ft2) was upgraded in 2004 with the installation of a research-grade environmental control system and a set of supplemental air conditioners to allow continued use through the summer months.  The greenhouse is currently used to support classes and research.  Students performing independent research projects also use the facility and the student community gardening group, MULCH, gets a jump-start on spring by starting their plants each March.
