Welcome to the
Biology Department
The
Biology Department is committed to providing intellectually rich and
challenging learning experiences for majors and non-majors alike. These
experiences are intended to communicate the foundations and frontiers
of the life sciences (from molecules to ecosystems), the methods of
biological inquiry, and the relevance of biology to society.
We are
proud of the education we offer our students and have been recognized
as being "among the best biology departments in liberal arts colleges in the nation" by a panel of outside reviewers.
