Patty Byrne Pfalz  Biology Department Staff Assistant Olin-Rice 221 (651) 696-6442 Patty's office (651) 696-6100 Biology office pfalz@macalester.edu Pfalz works with the Department Chair to coordinate all activities in the Biology Department and oversees the services provided by the Department office. She hires and supervises the student employee staff for the office and she is the coordinator for all the student employees in the Department. Pfalz manages the budgets and coordinates the purchases of lab equipment, chemicals, and other supplies. She maintains the Department listservs and notifies students of Department events, internship opportunities, and job postings. She works with faculty to coordinate the weekly Biology Seminar, the annual picnic, and other Department social events. Patty also provides administrative support for the Health Professions Advisory Committee.
