(1) help faculty to become more effective teachers and advisors in a racially diverse setting;

(2) bring students, staff, and faculty together in support of curricular enrichment, service, community-based learning, increased hiring and retention of faculty of color, and cross-campus discussions of racial difference, privilege, inequality, and mutual understanding.
