Our student staff teams are an
integral part of the daily operations of the Campus Center
and are are a vital part of both the Campus Center & Conferences
team and Campus Life Department. Please visit the Macalester

Building Manager Team: Building Managers
manage the Campus Center from 5:00 pm-close every day and
all day on weekends. They are student leaders who oversee
other student employees working within the building, trouble-shoot
issues, provide a safe and secure Campus Center environment,
and provide sound, light and audio-visual support for events
held in the Campus Center and the Hill Ballroom.
Information Desk Team: The Information Desk
responds to the day-to-day needs of the college’s faculty,
staff, students and guests as a provider of quality customer
service. The Information Desk is staffed all hours the Campus
Center is open and provides the campus with information and
services.
Reservations Team: The Reservation Assistants
work at the Information Desk in the Campus Center and respond
to the day-to-day needs of the college’s faculty, staff
and guests by reserving campus facilities and coordinating
set-up & A/V needs for meetings and events.
Campus Life Office Team: Office assistants provide
basic office support to full-time professional staff in the
Campus Life office. Projects include promotional projects
for the Campus Programs staff, including the weekly table
tent calendar.
Summer Conference Assistant Team: Conference
Assistants live in residence halls and respond to the day-to-day
needs of all summer conference participants by providing outstanding
customer service to clients. Setting residence hall rooms
prior to guest arrival and a variety of event staffing, including
running a/v, are also regular Conference Assistant tasks.
Security Dispatch Team: Security Dispatchers
will staff a phone which receives all incoming Security calls
at the following times: Mondays through Thursdays, 4:30pm-1am;
Fridays, 4:30pm-2am, Saturdays, 8am-2am and Sundays, 10am-1am.
They are student leaders who are integral in ensuring that
all calls for Security are answered and responded to quickly
and accurately.
Safe Walk Team: The Safe Walk team works
in pairs to provide Macalester community members with escorts
to within 1 mile of campus in the late evening hours.
In addition to the larger staff teams the Campus Center also
employs:
Bike Share Coordinator: The Bike Share Coordinator
coordinates the Bike Share program, which offers bicycles
for check-out at the Information Desk.
