Pre-Orientation adventure for 2008 first year students
Are you interested in exploring Northern Minnesota with fellow first year Macalester students?
The Macward Bound Pre-Orientation program offers trips to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area and the Superior Hiking Trail in Minnesota.
These programs are designed for both experienced and less experienced outdoors people.

Macward Bound
Pre-Orientation Outdoor Adventure Program
August 15 thru August 20, 2008
MacWard Bound has had a successful four years of existence! Students who have participated in this program have remarked how amazing it was to begin their collegiate life in the wilderness while building relationships amongst other First Year students. Many have also discovered an untapped passion for the outdoors through this experience!
Macalester organizes these trips through two organizations: Outward Bound (outwardbound.org) and Wilderness Inquiry (wildernessinquiry.org). Both of these organizations provide our students a professionally guided experience. One upper class Macalester student will also accompany each group to provide mentorship and share their Macalester thoughts and experiences.
