Macward Bound Pre-Orientation Outdoor Program
August 21 thru August 27, 2014
Friday, May 23, 2014 - Online applications available to new students
Wednesday, June 25, 2014 - Application deadline
Tuesday, July 1, 2014 - Applicants notified of entry to program
Friday, July 25, 2014 - Payment due ($350) - Must pay by the July 25th deadline. Failure to pay by this date may void your spot in the program. If you need an extension for payment please contact Allison Greenlee.
Thursday, August 21, 2014 - *US and International participants arrive to Macalester. Domestic students cannot check in prior to this date. Check in between 9am-4pm at the Campus Center for information and keys to residence hall.
Thursday, August 21, 2014 (evening) - Large and small group introductions and pre-departure meeting.
Friday, 8/22 - 6am breakfast followed by a prompt 7am departure. Later that afternoon the adventure begins! Students will spend five adventurous days hiking or canoeing, camping and developing new friendships.
Tuesday , 8/26 - Students will return back to Mac in the evening, where hot showers await!
Wednesday, 8/27 - Afternoon picnic with post trip reflection wrap up. All students must attend this picnic. Afterwards, explore the twin cities and campus with your group leaders and new friends!
Thursday, 8/28 - New Student Orientation begins!
