Fellows complete rotational assignments and receive extensive training in preparation for future public employment. Call to ServeCall to Serve is a joint effort of the Partnership for Public Service and the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) to educate a new generation about the importance of a strong civil service, help re-establish links between federal agencies and campuses, and provide students with information about federal jobs. Click here to learn more about the Call to Serve initiative. Macalester is one of five colleges and universities nationwide awarded a 2008-2009 grant from the “Call to Serve” initiative. The grant will be used to educate Macalester students about internship and career opportunities in the federal civil service. |
