John has a background in staffing and recruitment, consulting, technology, and organizational development.  He joined Macalester in January of 2004, after working in human resources at GE Capital, Northwest Airlines, and Target Corporation. He earned his Bachelor’s degree emphasizing Human Resources and Psychology from the University of Minnesota, Duluth and his Master of Business Administration in Human Resources from the University of St. Thomas. John enjoys spending time with his wife and two children as well as discussing politics, hiking, and traveling.
