Lilly Program Associate
Markim Hall 310
I coordinate programs that provide students space for reflection and discernment of both their values and vocation. Programs such as Lives of Commitment focus on civic leadership and how we live out our commitments to community. Others such as Worthy Questions and Lilly Senior Keystone provide communities for students to wrestle with big questions of meaning and purpose related to their academic disciplines, life decisions, relationships and future pursuits. I also create opportunities for the campus to gather for conversation around ethical leadership and courageous living. I am a member of both the Civic Engagement Center and the Center for Religious and Spiritual Life staff.
I graduated from Macalester College in 1997 with a double major in Religious Studies and Communication Studies. I then received a Masters of Divinity from McCormick Theological Seminary in Chicago in 2002. I was ordained in the Presbyterian Church (USA) in 2005 while serving as the Associate Chaplain at Macalester.
I have previously worked within the areas of reproductive justice, HIV/AIDS, and LGBTQ organizing. I worked for the Presbyterian Church (USA) in both the office of Women's Advocacy in Louisville, KY and the United Nations Office in New York City. I have worked at Macalester since 2002.
