The Civic Egagement Center works with community
partners in a variety of ways. For example, organizations may host
student volunteers and work-study students, participate in
service-learning or community-based research projects with classes, or
serve as experts on neighborhood and community needs. The Civic Engagement Center
and the College value the collaborative partnerships
with community organizations. |
We would like to know about our
community partners’ volunteer opportunities. Specifically, we would like information about:
- One-time service opportunities that we will keep on file
for student organizations, clubs, sports teams, etc., who are looking
for an activity to do together.
- Service-learning projects (ie. research, experiential
projects, writing projects, etc.) These will serve as a direct bridge
between the classroom and the community and will be developed further
by faculty in their curriculum.
- Special events hosted by your site that our
students/staff can participate in or attend.
We hope that by taking the time to collect and organize this
information we will be able to provide our partner
organizations with more suitable volunteers and our volunteers with
more options and information.
Your time in submitting this information will be greatly
appreciated. Questions can be directed to 651-696-6040.
