There are many opportunities for Spanish-speakers at Park Ave. Their math and literacy tutoring program (two hour a week time commitment) pairs volunteers up with one student and they work together afterschool. Riverview Elementary School on the West Side of St Paul is a public elementary school with a Spanish Immersion program. They are in need of tutors (Spanish speaking and non-Spanish speaking). Non-Spanish speakers should expect to work with older children, whereas Spanish speakers should expect to work with the younger grades.  Tutors work with students one-on-one or in small groups, helping them to get the extra help they may not receive in class.
