Neighborhood Information

Community DataWorks

Community Data Works is an online data service of the Wilder Research Center. It is a simple, but rich, source of demographic data for small, local areas - like neighborhoods. The annual neighborhood profiles are very informative. Currently, the data cover all of Saint Paul. http://www.communitydataworks.org/StPaul/data.php

Metro Trend Watch

This research project looks at five critical issues that will influence the well-being of the Twin Cities metro area for years to come:

  • School readiness and success
  • Children's health
  • Affordable housing
  • Economic opportunities
  • Safety from crime

How the Twin Cities is faring in these five issues gives a good indication of the way things are going. If we are making progress on these fronts, it is likely the Cities as a whole is moving forward. Conversely, losing ground in addressing any of these issues indicates that other problems are also on the rise. These five issues offer genuine opportunities for action. These are issues in which local efforts can make a real difference. The purpose is not just to see what is happening, but to choose how to get involved.
