Sacred Stories
Across religious traditions, stories have gathered communities as around hearths, warming and illumining our lives. As much as we tell stories, they tell us, touching pulse-points and truths that shape our faith journeys. Join chaplains Lucy Forster-Smith, Barry Cytron, and K.P.Hong as together we explore stories from Hasidic Judaism, Christian parables, and Zen Buddhist collections. Tuesdays at 11:45am in the CRSL beginning Tuesday, January 31, lunch provided.

The Mission of the Center for
Religious and Spiritual Life
The Mission of the Center for Religious and Spiritual Life is to recognize and affirm the diversity of religious and cultural experience at Macalester College. This includes nurturing students’ exploration of their religious tradition, helping express values by engaging in local and global issues with the aim of repairing the world and by participating in the educational life of the college by promoting critical study, spiritual conversation and faith exploration.

The Center for Religious and Spiritual Life would like to invite parents of seniors to submit a favorite memorable photo and a well wish to their son or daughter as they begin their journey beyond Macalester. The photos and well wishes will then be displayed during commencement weekend in the foyer of the Weyerhaeuser Memorial Chapel. Please submit photos (in a jpg format if possible) and well wishes by April 27 to religiouslife@macalester.edu if sending photo by mail (please send copy as originals will not be returned), please send to:
