Amy Rice Laboratory InstructorB.A., Macalester College, 1990 Amy Rice graduated from Macalester in 1990 having had direct experience with the teaching styles of Wayne Wolsey, Fred Stocker, and Truman Schwartz. Having received her Bachelor's Degree from Macalester in Chemistry, she returned to us to serve as a Laboratory Instructor for both the General Chemistry and Organic Chemistry Classes. Between graduation and her return to Macalester, Amy served as a laboratory technician for Serco Laboratories in Roseville, Minnesota performing chromatographic analysis of water samples for organics. As a Laboratory Instructor, Amy enjoys working with the students and being immersed in the college atmosphere. Since her work at Macalester is on a part time basis, Amy is able to spend a great deal of time with her children, the energetic Ariel and her new sister, Chloe. Being married to a "rocket scientist" gives special meaning for Amy to phrases beginning with "it takes a rocket scientist to know..." She opines of her husband, Tim, "He can figure out anything!"
