Network Registration

Macalester College requires all students who live in campus housing to register their computers on the network before accessing the Internet or any other network service. Examples of network services include web browsing, email, file sharing and instant messaging.

Network registration will associate every computer with the name of the user who registers it. This information will be confidential and will allow ITS to quickly contact any user whose computer is causing network problems.
