Supported Software

What does 'supported' mean? Primarily, it means software that ITS installs on all College-owned computers. Further, it means that we will be able to provide some degree of assistance with setting up, using or fixing a particular piece of software. Assistance may take many forms, including staff expertise, documentation, repairs and training opportunities. Additionally, we can provide more assistance for some pieces of software than for others. When you receive a computer from ITS to serve as your primary personal workstation, the software listed below will be installed. Application version numbers have been left off - the latest version is used whenever possible. If you have a question about exactly how much support is offered for any of these tools, call the Help Desk.

Reimaging

If for any reason your computer needs to be reimaged (that is, to have all the software removed and reinstalled), your computer will be loaded with all of the above software. One possible exception to this is the operating system - Mac users will receive the latest version of Mac OS X that we are licensed to install on their computers.
