The work of KCP to date would not have been possible without the
generous intellectual, administrative, and financial support of several
individuals, offices and institutions.
Many thanks foremost to Professor Stephen
Tracy, director, and Maria Pilali, administrator, of the American
School of Classical
Studies, to Dr. Alexandros Mandis, ephor, and Panagiota Kasimis and
Vassilis Tassinos of the 4th and
37th EPKAs at Nafplio and Archaia Korinthos, Dr. Nikolaos Minos,
director
of conservation in the Ministry of Culture, and to the staff of the
Isthmia Museum. At Macalester, KCP has been especially well
assisted by Dan Hornbach and Diane Michelfelder, successive provosts,
and Sarah Sargent, assistant
director of corporate and foundation relations. Mark Lewis has helped
us
greatly with information technology. Timothy Gregory has
generously offered counsel, logistical assistance, and free access to
the facilities of the Ohio State Excavations at Isthmia. Thanks also to
Hector Williams, Guy Sanders, Kathleen Slane, Lita
Diacopoulos, Yannis Lolos, and Betsy Gebhard for their support and
input on the research of KCP. The staff of our collaborating
institution, the Centre d'étude des peintures murales
romaines in Soissons, also deserves our gratitude.
