Goals for Study Away Students are encouraged to take advantage of opportunities for foreign study which the Classics department directs. These include summer archaeological excavations of an ancient temple in northern Israel and a Roman burial ground in southern Greece and the month of January living in, studying, and exploring the eternal city of Rome. The department also sends students on affiliated programs of the American School of Classical Studies at Athens, the College Year in Athens, and the Intercollegiate Center for Classical Studies. Resources for Study Away Study away programs are administered by Macalester's International Center. Students planning to study away should visit the International Center's Sudy Abroad web site to plan for study abroad, paying close attention to procedures listed on their "what do I have to do and when?" page. |
