Rain Plan It is the wish of seniors to hold the ceremony outdoors, so a move indoors takes place only in the event of extreme weather conditions. The Commencement ceremony will be broadcast by audio in the Weyerhaeuser Chapel for any guest for whom remaining out of doors would be a hardship. To be safe, we suggest that you be prepared for inclement weather. In the event of heavy rain, the Macalester College Commencement ceremony will be moved to the Field House of the Macalester College Leonard Center. If the ceremony is moved indoors, it will be announced by 9:00 a.m. on the day of graduation. Notices will be posted around campus, the Commencement website will provide information, and an e-mail announcement will be sent to all faculty, staff, and students. The campus switchboard and Information Desk in the Ruth Stricker Dayton Campus Center will have information.
