Social Responsibility Committee
October 12, 2010 Meeting Notes

Present

Members:        Terry Boychuk, Lloyd Cledwyn, Anna Faber, Kiarina Kordela, Brian Lindeman,                           Joanne Rhoades, Keren Yohannes, David Wheaton and Laurie Hamre.  

Business

1.   Terry Boychuk agreed to serve as chair for the 2010-2011 academic year.

2.   The Sustainability Advisory Committee and MacCares recommended a ban on bottled water.             (The committees first discussed in 2009.)  SRC will make a recommendation to Brian that         the College name February as “no bottled water month” with the intent to educate the campus and then transfer into bottled water free.  A cautious move towards eliminating the          sale and provision of bottled water.  President Rosenberg accepted the recommendation.

3.   The meeting was adjourned at 1:00 p.m.
