Lara Avery
It all started when Lara Avery was born on July 2nd in the year 1987. She was her parents’ twelfth and final child. The Avery’s descended from Sir Chadwick Flagstaff Avery, a British revolutionary who, unbeknownst to most Americans, ghostwrote much of the Declaration of Independence. Each and every Avery since Sir Chadwick had been born on July 4th, until Lara. Because of this, Lara’s life has been hard, real hard. Estranged from the rest of her family, Lara tried her best to do well in school and function normally. Unfortunately, she had been relegated to live in a small closet in the basement of the Avery’s Ohio farmhouse and she found it nearly impossible to complete her studies without and light or space. Because of this, and the shocking whiteness of her under-sunned skin she was friendless, undereducated, unhappy, and was forced to drop out of school. It was at about this time in her life that Lara turned to writing. She found that she could write poems and stories in her closet perfectly well without actually seeing them. After several years of writing, Lara secretly submitted her works for publication to Penguin Publishing. Many of her works were accepted and published in her first book entitled, Closet Girl, a Life in Shame. The book swept the globe, selling a record 3 billion copies. Since then, Lara has written 5 more books, earned a degree from Harvard University, and published her PhD thesis on stringcheese. Today, Lara lives on a ranch in Wyoming with her husband and two kids.
