SEOUL
With a metropolitan region containing nearly 20 million people,
a history spanning some 600 years, and the status as a classic primate
city, Seoul has gained the reputation as being a
city destined for international success. This site looks at some urban
issues in Seoul from its survival as Korea's capital during colonial rule,
its own partition, and a civil war to recent years, where its popularity
as a key economic, political, and cultural destination has led to a population
of nearly 11 million people.
