Bus and taxi

The town square to the left is navigated by buses, taxis, and cars. Buses serve many of the country’s smaller towns and villages. The Trans-Saharan Highway, a road running from north to south across the Sahara Desert, has become a principal route for tourists and for trucks that carry good between the nations of northern and western Africa. Despite this highway, many isolated oases cannot be reached by Algeria’s road or rail networks.
