Railroad
Algeria’s colon administrators built an extensive road network in the country’s northern provinces before the war for independence. In addition, about 50,000 miles of roads in the Tell and along the coast now connect Algeria’s cities, towns, and ports. A railroad system runs from the Mediterranean Sea southward to towns in the northern Sahara. The railroad system is still controlled by the government.
