Dalian, DDZ, and New Dalian

Hi, you've reached my site on Dalian, China. Dalian is a city/area in north-eastern China.As one can see from the map, Dalian is not only a city, but also an area. In fact, the entire end of the peninsula is sometimes referred to as the Dalian Metropolitan Area, as in the map above. For the purposes of this page, we will focus on the city of Dalian and the DDZ. This page was completed as a project for Professor David Lanegran's course, World Urbanization, at Macalester College. Oh, if you're having trouble making out the text on any of the maps, just click on them and a larger and hopefully more legible version will load (Try it out above).
