The Future of Cochabamba
Like all cities in the world, Cochabamba is continuing to expand and change. It is a city with growing possibilities and rising importance in the country of Bolivia. Cochabamba is not without its share of problems yet the events which have unfolded in the past few months have shown us the power of the people to create change where and when they see fit. Like all cities, some changes are not always welcome by all, such as the growing influence of the West, more so, the imperialist notions of the United States. Yet I have no doubt that even if Cochabamba becomes imfluenced by the ways of the West, it will continue to be able to cherish and embrace its own traditions as it has done in the past.
