  The statue below is located on La Coronilla, on top of Colina San Sebastian. It is dedicated to the women and children that defended the city against Jose Manuel Goyeneche's Spanish forces in 1812. The statue is called Las Heroinas (The Heroines). On the right is a photograph taken from the the Coronilla overlooking the southwest of the city.
 

 The 14th of September is the Dia de Cochabamba. On this day, various groups parade within the city: the city civil servants, the army, the union workers, various school groups etc.  
 

 On the Dia de Todos Santos November 2nd, people commemorate their friends and relatives who have died in the past five years. Oftem times, a family will set aside a little section of the house to put food, objects, flowers that they offer to their relative or friend. On November 2nd, families will go to the cemetary and put flowers on the graves of their loved ones.

The flower market of the Cancha- Calatayud- sells flowers all week before the 2nd; The flower market is only one stretch of road, all the vendors come only twice a week (accept when nearing Todos Santos). See Cancha
