Transportation
This map shows the major routes of city going from North to South, to the airport and bus terminal. The Blanco Galindo road (going west) is also an important road as it is a main road linking Cochabamba to other major cities in the western part of Bolivia. Most of the other streets in the city are one-way STREET.
Most people in Cochabamba use public transportation. It is very cheap and runs almost 24 hours. Although there is no regular schedule, the buses run roughly every 10 to 15 minutes. Each bus has a specific letter or number, marking where it is headed. The larger buses, call micros are the cheapest form of transportation as they can carry more people. There also smaller vans, called trufis, which also have specific routes yet are privately owned. There are also smaller taxis, which can carry about eight people. The red van on this picture is a trufi and the larger van on the right is a micro.
