Future of the city
I think the city will start to realize that they need to preserve their heritage. There is a huge lack of architectural awarness which many blame for the demise of the beuty of Cairo. With the help of German investors and UNESCO, architectualr awarness is becoming an awarness and is a priority for fixing up the landsacapes.

One of the tasks too is to help get Cairo's tourist sector and promotion into place.
More tourists will bring in more revenue to help fix up the place. Make people understand that there is more than jus the pirimids, there is a huge islamic culture to be seen. With over 200 mosques in Cairo, you surly would not be disapointed.
More sattelite cities are being planned which by the end of the century a projected 25 million will be housed in the new cities in the desert.. By building these cities, it should take the strain of the major city. They have also recently discovered new water resources whcih sholuld allow them to plan for cities in teh dessert east and west of current Cairo.
There used to be traditanl markets in
Cairo. That was a main staple of their economy and unique flavor. Each market
specialized in one or two items. These were called Suks. More emphasize
should be put on these markets. It is important to hold on to herritage
and traditon, then to stifle with modern structures like malls in the new
cities.
Haras used to be common too. These were mini neighborhoods that existed in the allys. They served a social aspect as well. many of these do not exist today, but they still exist in the street patterns.
