Inner City/ Old Cairo

The Comercial and industrial focus has since left the old city making the old city become a backwater for those who can not afford to move out to the other areas of the metropolis, or those that want to creat a new life and come in from the country side. The system is a continous cycle as often new migrants move in to replace the ones who move out. Thsis change happens almost immediatly becasue housing is in such high demand with very little supply

Services are poor too, with trash collection being amongst the worse. In some places teh trash problem is so bad, that the ground is rising becasue of the piled up and trampled trash.

As the city expands outwarsds in a circular pattern, it creates the needs for more shops, houses , transport, etc. This creates great strain on the infrastructure. Also, as the city grows and improves more and more people move in becasue of the good conditions, whcih just puts even more strain on the system.
