| Belfast's lower white collar employees rarely live in apartment blocks since few exist. Belfast avoided the highrise construction boom and instead, like most of the UK and Ireland, high denisty housing occurs in terraces. These long rows of connected houses extend across the residential sectors of the city. Little physical distinction is visible between working class and lower middle class dwellings as there is a large amount of social housing used by both groups. |
