Prague's current affairs are largely intertwined with its recent Communist past. Nearly all of the debate in its newspapers and in public office is related to the aftermath of Communism and the various attitudes towards its continued presence, as some see the change in Prague, or toward its disappearance, as others see it. Many problems have sprung up as a result of the huge changes that go along with changing a country's form of government from Communism to Socialism. These changes have manifested in physical forms by altering Prague's geographic landscape, but have also created internal struggle in the government further aggravated by confused or dissatisfied citizens.
