a typical bar scene...
Dining in Prague has "finally become cosmopolitan," according to a variety of sources. In the recent past, international dining has come into Prague, including restaurants offering everything from Indian to Russian to Moroccan cuisine, not to mention the traditional Czech taverns. Traditional Czech food includes a speciality called knedliky (dumplings) along with special potato dishes, soups and cakes. Restaurants in Prague are extremely cheap by American standards and the beer is even cheaper. A half liter of beer costs about thirty cents, and a bottle of vodka about $2.50. Numerous beers and pubs offer cheap drinking and this is another reason Prague is so popular among tourists.
