The Pudong New Area is made up of following five districts, Gaoqiao-Gaiqiao, Qingningshi-Jinqiao, Lujiazui -Huanmu, Zhoujiadu-Liuli, and Beicai-Zhangjiang. Each of these districts have a different economic focus. The Gaoqiao-Gaoqiao will mainly be a free trade area concentrating on international trade by focusing on transit facilities. Within the zone, trades agencies owned by foreign investment will facilitate trade. The Lujiazui -Huamu area will concentrate on finance, commerce, and tertiary businesses. The landscape of this area is dominated by skyscrapers occupied by businesses and high-grade apartments. The Beicai-Zhangjiang area

 

will specialize in science and education. The Qingningsi-Jinqiao and the Zhoujiadu-Liuli areas will specialize in free industrial projects based on the needs and wants of foreign investors.
