According to many experts Shanghai needs to develop a fast, economical, and safe ground transportation in order to become a international metropolis. One method of doing this is by transforming its one dimension ground transportation system into a three dimensional one by adding a subway. This addition will alleviate a lot of traffic congestion in the city.This is one of the many improvements that Shanghai needs to make to its transportation system. By making it public transportation more desirable, Shanghai can decrease the amount of space dedicated to transportation.
