Spanish 204 is based on the "communicative method." This method relies on active communication in Spanish as the primary source of learning. Hence, to derive benefit from the class session and to receive a notable grade in this category of assessment it is essential that each person participate in the class and lab activities to the best of his or her abilities. For this to happen, grammatical and other matters of usage must be studied and learned outside of the classroom. Within the classroom we will make efforts to put those concepts to use rather than talk about them. The individual and collective success of the class is based on each person's full and consistent preparation for class sessions, and effective participation will be a significant part of each person's final grade. |
