The European Union has a well-financed web access system; there is very little official information that is not easily available on the internet. Several of the websites below are not EU operated, and can be rich sources as well.

European Integration and EU Institutions: the History of a United Europe: a massive and well organized library of texts and media from the very beginning of the EU. Everything is here if you can find it.

Europa: Information Sources: official European Commission website for sources.

European Parliament Factsheets: clear explanations of the foundations of the European Union.

EU Observer: an often skeptical non-profit report on EU affairs
