In anticipation of the coming academic year at
Macalester College we are hoping to gather information concerning
community partners’ volunteer opportunities.
Specifically, we would like information about:
- Special events hosted by your site that our
students/staff can participate in or attend (these events will be added to a
community event calendar).
- One-time service opportunities that we will keep on file
for student organizations, clubs, sports teams, etc., who are looking
for an activity to do together.
- Service-learning projects (ie. research, experiential
projects, writing projects, etc.) These will serve as a direct bridge
between the classroom and the community and will be developed further
by faculty in their curriculum.
We hope that by taking the time to collect and organize this
information early in the year we will be able to provide our partner
organizations with more suitable volunteers and our volunteers with
more options and information.
