Macalester supports several scholarships and awards which recognize the civic engagement efforts of students. Several of the endowed awards are given by alums who have given back to the college in order to encourage students in their community involvement work. For instance, the Action Fund provides grants to students for up to $500 for exemplary projects in the community which also have a campus education component. The Civic Engagement Center also gives out two senior awards at the honor's convocation each May to recognize significant contributions of two graduating seniors.
The Macalester Academic Excellence Center offers free Grant and Proposal Writing Workshops to help you with your application.
In addition to the scholarships listed here, students are encouraged to go to the Academic Programs Office website, where there are many other scholarships listed.
