Bush-CST Associates Program Overview
This program supports a core group of faculty who develop skills,
expertise, and strategies to improve faculty programs, practices
and climate around issues of race and diversity. Members of the
group work to improve their own knowledge and expertise through
reading and discussion, and by building relationships with one another
across differences of social identity. The group advises the CST
Director on faculty development programming and supports the work
of the Dean for the Study of Race and Ethnicity on programs and
initiatives through her office. In 2005-2006, eight people (four
pairs) participated in the program. In 2006-2007, the Bush-CST Associates
project, and some of the Associates themselves, will transition
to form a basis of this year's Conversations about Multiculturalism,
sponsored by Dean for the Study of Race and Ethnicity Jane Rhodes.
