The Spring Professional Activities Workshop (SPAW) is a faculty development conference at Macalester designed to provide hands-on activities in the major areas of faculty professional activities: scholarship, teaching, advising, and service.

Monday, May 20th and Tuesday May 21st features a Teaching Writing Workshop in led by Dr. Chris Anson (North Carolina State University).  This two-day writing pedagogy workshop is designed primarily for faculty who will teach a First Year Course (FYC) in Fall 2013.  All Macalester faculty members are encouraged to come, but FYC faculty members will receive a $150 stipend for participating.

Teaching Writing Workshop sessions on May 20-21 will be held in Markim Hall, Davis Court
SPAW sessions on Wednesday, May 22nd will be held in Olin-Rice Hall.
