New Faculty Orientation

We take seriously the need to help new faculty become acclimated to teaching at Macalester, our students, and institutional policies. New Faculty Orientation is designed to provide newly hired faculty with the most important and immediate information through a set of talks, seminars, and social occasions in August and September prior to the beginning of the academic year. For faculty hired for the 2009-2010 academic year, New Faculty Orientation formally begins with a set of optional workshops, followed by two days of required meetings.
