Macalester’s Annual Fund represents the cornerstone of the many qualities that define and distinguish the college: rigorous academics, exceptional faculty, longstanding commitment to equity and access, a globally conscious education. Support for the Annual Fund does more than just keep the lights on—it helps sustain the foundation of excellence upon which Macalester continues to flourish.
The Foundation of Excellence
Each year, 36 percent of the college’s annual operating budget comes from restricted sources. While such funds are important, Macalester must continue to generate unrestricted sources of funding as well. Annual giving ensures that our
programmatic and institutional priorities can be realized now and into the future.
